Kin’emon Toen Co. Ltd
Kin’emon Toen was founded in 1926 when Tokuji Yamaguchi opened a kiln in the Nakadaru district of Arita. From the beginning, the company focused on producing Japanese tableware using the Somenishiki over-glazing technique. Since 2011 Kin’emon Toen Co Ltd. has been producing the Colour Porcelain series designed by Scholten & Baijings for the 1616/ Arita Japan project. The craftsmen at this company manufacture a rich and varied array of products using technologies such as air brushing colour (fukitsuke), colored glazing, selective glazing, and Cochinware techniques.
