
Start of Autumn Residency 2024 – Presentation

We are happy to welcome the new participants of the autumn residency programme to Arita.
On Monday 29 September, the freshly arrived CRA participants for the autumn period will have a self-introduction presentation at Arita Será / Gallery Celadon.
Octave Rimbert-Rivière is an artist and designer, Octave merges glitch aesthetics and Japanese porcelain tradition. He creates sculptural tableware inspired by Kaiseki and digital distortion.
Octave has his own porcelain studio in Amsterdam, with smaller scale kiln. He works with 3D printing to create very intricate objects. He is known as a mold-making master in the Netherlands.
Jonathan Vervoort is an artist, Jonathan works with 3D scanning, ceramics, and animation to explore intersections between mythology, nature, and digital culture.
Like Octave, he has his own kiln in Amsterdam, and makes use of large 3D printers, and creates large vases for stoneware. He is known to be a specialist in printing with clay, and 3D scanning of objects.
Jonathan works with 3D scanning, ceramics, animation and 2D image to explore intersections between humans, nature, and digital culture.
